Category: Getting to Know You

It seems as if I should let everyone know that I have changed my username from Lordlover just a few days ago. People say that I have really changed for the worse, but to let you all know, that I am still the same person inside and out. Since I do not want to start up any big fights again on the zone, if you have any questions about my new user name, and what it means, please drop me a line through the zone. I will be more than happy to tell you, but I have been in too many fights already. I would love to make more friends. Not lose them all. Thanks bunches,
Chelsea

Chelsea, I still think it sounds gay, and won't change my mind on that. I personally find these religious usernames, quite offensive. Religion to me, is something you should keep to yourself unless asked about it by like minded people. To shove it in peoples faces like this, is quite offensive to a good many people from what I've heard. Everyone can choose what they wish to be called, and as you started the topic, I'm also free to say what I think, so thank you for the opportunity. Kevin

hmm I guessed this quite quickly..and if you can refrain from trying to convert me, we will be fine. cheers.

That is OK if you think it is gay, or you don't see it how I see it. That is purfictly fine. I also respect other peoples religions, and faiths, and don't try to get up their throats about it, but when people step on my toes, that is when I start bringing up the topic of religion.

Kevin. I laugh at how you have typed a large paragraph, because you took offense to someone's screenname!!! That is stupid and immature!!! LOL!!! Quit being such a big baby. You came into this site aware of freedom of speech, so if anyone wants to talk about cars, they can. Sex? Sure. Atheism? Why not? Computers? By all means. What makes you think that freedom of speech excludes Christianity? That's retarded. She is not shoving it down anyone's throat; you have a choice to make not to read her posts, or to ignore her. Simple as that. The frontpage of this site did state that the admins are not your parents, so stop throwing a fit like a baby. And, if anyone is shoving anything down anyone's throat, Kevin, it's you. Forgive my bluntness, but I'm not keeping quiet anymore. Anyway, I'm wasting my time. Cheers!

More inclined to agree with the Blackbird on this one, but, it doesn't mean i have anything against the person behind the user name, or the religion. Furthermore, this person has the freedom to choose his/her user name. Hell, I could call myself Barry Squert Gun if I so chose.

Well those who don't like Chelsea, please try and let her alone. It is not fair to start drama with her.

If anyone doesn't like me, why don't you say it now, and then ignore me so that you won't get to see my posts. If you really don't like me, or my user name, then just ignore me! I am not here to have people taring at me. You won't change any of my beliefs! No way! If you don't like me, there is a button under my user name that you can hit to ignore me. Easy as that! I don't care if you ignore me, that is your choice! But, please respect everyone around you! That includes me. I am a human being just like everyone else on the zone is.

well said rainbow, as for the zone changing you for the worst, I don't think that's so, but I understand how you feel. That's why I don't come on here much anymore. The zone was changing me for the worse, so I mostly just stick to reading old out of print books and e magazines on the web. I just thought I'd catch up on things since I left, and if it hadn't been for the fact I found an old friend on here who now has a home computer, so she can get on in the evenings, I would've stayed away another month, and only post if I like a good suggestion on the zone bbs board. So now my secret for getting along on here is to post and leave. Anyway, I hope things go better on here for you, and if anyone doesn't like my post, let him or her happily put me on ignore.

Ok Mel, My problem isn't with what Chelsea posts, or her beliefs. It's the fact that just her username pushes her beliefs. if I don't wish to talk about christianity then I can skip the post or ignore the user, but I can't avoid the username. As for me being a big baby, why not ask me how I feel instead of accusing me of such when you are maybe half my age. lol it's awesome when teenagers think they are much better than the adults.

Chelsea, let me give you a bit of constructive chriticism. Now I don't read the boards as much as some people, but I think that Blackbird is fairly right. Having a user name that totally pushes your beliefs does sort of make it sound a tad bit cleashay, if i'm spelling this correctly. A perfect example: My friend Danielle, whom if you have ever heard my radio show will have probably heard us mension, is a die hard Christian, who with her mother worships to as much of an extent as you. However, her username that she goes by for comments on the Nut Hut Live Journal happens to be Runnergirl, totally not pushing her beliefs in everyone's face. To me, the hole belief thing on the net stops at the profile. QN's, yes if the topic allows. Board posts, Hell yeah! There's an entire board for thsi sort of thing. Profile, this is your space, defend it. User name, no no.
Firther to this comment, while again I do not read the boards as much as most, your outburst may not have been called for. No one has ever flamed you on this topic, we've all given you constructive chriticism with the intent to help, not hurt! Lighten up, it's good for you...*this coming from a very uptight person*. Don't take everything with a shot gun, some of it deserves to be taken with a grain of salt.
Yours,
Nick, AKA Barry Squirt Gun.

An addendum. While i did write out this entire paragraph, I still do stand by the fact that she's free to choose her user name.
